PREVENT Waste Alliance in Berlin

Katharina Raab and Professor Dr. Wagner attended in May 2019 funding meeting of the PREVENT Waste Alliance in Berlin. This alliance is committed to building a sustainable closed-loop waste management system, particularly in emerging and developing countries.

May 9th2019 in Berlin:

More than 30 organizations from private sector, academia, civil society and public institutions launched the PREVENT Waste Alliance in Germany. It serves as a platform for exchange and international cooperation. Since then, the number of members has increased to over 60 organisations. PREVENT want to contribute to minimizing waste, eliminating pollutants and maximising the reutilisation of resources worldwide. The focus is on plastic waste from packaging and disposable products as well as waste electrical and electronic equipment. German Development Minister Dr. Gerd Müller and the Indonesian Ambassador representatives of business and civil society from Indonesia and Ghana were present at the opening of the alliance in Berlin.
